They also discuss Larry Bird's comments on the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. 08:30 Cut to Bill Veeck, who speaks about coaches and their contracts. He criticizes coaches who seek lucrative contracts and have little loyalty, often breaking them to seek greener pastures. 11:55 Cut back to hosts, who further discuss the issue of breaking contracts. 12:58 Taped footage of Simeon Vocational High School, which has a winning record in several sports, including baseball, football, and basketball. The coaches of each of these teams are interviewed, as well as the principal of the school. Some of the star players are also interviewed. 17:20 Cut back to Veeck at the bar. He interviews Joel Skinner, catcher for the White Sox. Skinner speaks about his father's influence, his move from shortstop to catcher, and his unique style as a catcher. 23:00 Cut to Time Out Sports Almanac, which highlights events on this date in sports history. 23:58 Cut back to studio, where the hosts discuss the Olympics. This is followed by silent footage of Olympic weightlifting hopeful Mario Martinez who matched his personal best in the two handed snatch by lifting 404.5 pounds. 26:16 Cut back to studio, where hosts speak about the current "winners" and "losers" in sports, including Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, the Northwestern softball team, and Jim McMahon. 25:30 Hosts offer predictions of the week. 28:14 Wrap up and final credits over footage of Simeon High School students breakdancing. 29:20 End of tape.
