Thanks to all who attended our Guerrilla Television screening at the Gene Siskel Film Center in September. We had a great time, and we hope to do another public screening soon.

For those of you who could not make it, a video of the discussion / Q&A with video pioneers Skip Blumberg, Nancy Cain, Chip Lord, and Tom Weinberg is now online. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the early video era and how the use of video has changed in the last 40 years.

Here is an earlier news item about the event, which links to the videos we screened.

primary While we think that one of the coolest things about mediaburn.org is the fact that you can create your own custom dvds to order, we know that sometimes you’d rather we just give you some recommendations. So we recently created the Media Burn store, where you can purchase copies of some of our most popular programs. We will be continually updating this section over the next few weeks, so keep checking back for more items. Right now we have a selection of general favorites, plus “The 90’s Home Video Collection” - vintage VHS tapes from the vaults - and the “Global Perspectives on War and Peace DVD Collection.”

We’ll use this space to keep you up to date on events, changes to the website, and other stuff that we generally find interesting.
