Barbara L. Sykes

Barbara has presented her retrospective in Japan, Australia, Spain, New York, Chicago and China. Featured in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago’s exhibition “Art in Chicago: 1945 to 1995,” and published in the book produced from this show, her work has also been included in the world’s most prestigious museums: the Kunst Museum, Germany, Carlsberg Glyptotek Museum, Denmark, and the Museums of Modern Art in New York and Paris. Her programs have aired on TV and cable worldwide, including the PBS national broadcasts of "The Independents,” “Image Union,” & “Window.”   The recipient of numerous grants and  artists residencies, Barbara has traveled extensively in Asia,  Africa and the Middle East.
